Hello,
Does anyone know if there is any software to create a multi-region or weighted photo mosaic? I want certain regions of my target image to be weighted as more important and thus have more optimization done in that region (faces).

I have been looking for the same thing, I assume you are referring to something similar to this:

(scroll down to number 2).

I have used a number of different software packages and have not seen anything like this yet, if I find anything I will keep you posted.

Hi Tom
Here at PollyTiles we do what your looking for by applying what we call 'salient points'. The software will then start the 'build' from these areas of the base image - giving it the best possible choice of images to match. Sorry but we are a commercial site and sell the service but not our software.
